FRAS is happy to offer Suzuki Violin Lessons to children 3rd – 8th grade twice/week during school hours.  Lessons are offered through Strings in Schools; a non-profit organization for 30 weeks of the school year.  Children are able to perform in two formal concerts per year and play for local community events when invited.  The Suzuki method teaches children to play by ear until their hand positions are established and then they begin note reading.  Once they complete Suzuki Book 1 and the first note reading book, they are able to play in the Beginning Orchestra.  Please go to www.stringsinschools.net for more information.

What Our Parents Say

What Our Parents Say

Our child was frequently bullied and overwhelmed in a large classroom setting at their previous school.  Within the first day of transitioning to Feather River, we noticed a night and day difference physically, mentally and spiritually.  The smaller class size, positive atmosphere, and welcoming community allowed our child to feel immediately accepted and supported. Since transferring, this difference has resulted in a positive attitude with excitement about attending class daily.  It was reported to us by the school that ‘Your child brings life and energy to other students.’  ~ Current parent
